Coconut palm sugar is made from the sap of the coconut palm, has a caramel colour and tastes like brown sugar, making it a perfect option for any recipe.
Coconut sugar is extracted from the palm by heating it until the moisture evaporates, retaining quite a bit of the nutrients found in the coconut palm. Most notable of these are the minerals iron, zinc, calcium and potassium, along with some short-chain fatty acids, polyphenols and antioxidants.
