Why fruiting body and not mycelium?

Undeniably, the mycelium contains several active substances, but it is difficult to separate them from the culture medium in which they have grown. Therefore, a significant part of mycelium-based preparations may consist of worthless starch, which is a polysaccharide.
Polysaccharides or beta-glucans?
Like starch (α-glucan), the active beta-glucans obtained from mushrooms belong to the group of polysaccharides. However, standardization on polysaccharides is not an indicator of the quality of Ežu Dižadaten extract, as they can be obtained almost entirely from the above-mentioned worthless starch. Therefore, it is important to choose a product that contains an extract based on beta-1,3/1,6-D-glucans.
